The players of Bethelsdorp Extension Crcicket Club tried to repair the cricket pitch in the off interlude at Rensburg Road, Bethelsdorp Extension 33. This is a factual indication of how badly the sport of cricket is in require under young people in this area. The matter has been declared by executive members of the club with the CEO of Eastern Province Cricket and the Director of Sport and Recreation at the Nelson Mandela Bay Municipality. They used their own prudence by deciding to upgrade Dan Qe Qe sportsground instead that seems to be upgraded after every couple of years. Their response is a true reflection of why sport facilities are not maintained and not upgraded in the northern areas of the bay. The boys went so far as to ask the groundsman of Finnis Street Sportsground Mr J Huhne for guidance and recommendation in restoring the pitch.
