Bethelsdorp Extension United Cricket Club caters for the cricket demand of young people that is residing in the vicinity of the Bethelsdorp extensions area in Port Elizabeth but the majority of players are residing in Floral Park (Bethelsdorp Extension 31). Players from outside the area had also joined the club. Only one senior team was registered at Eastern Province Amatuer Cricker Board for the 2009/2010 cricket season.
Registering a junior team might take place for the 2010/2011 season. A second senior team might also be registered for the 2010/2011 cricket season, should Mr Meshaka obtain willing executive officials to guide and coach these teams. Currently the club is solely managed by Mr Meshaka who is residing in a city more then 300 kilometres away from Port Elizabeth. This is a challenge to him but he is sure of being successful and achieving his and the goals of the club.
Who will forget the day when we were wearing our new cricket pants that were manufactered by Mrs J Hammond. We played against Madiba Eleven at Dan Qe Qe stadium where we narrowly lost with 6 runs. Madiba Eleven scoring 101 whilst they restricted us to 95 all out. A specail thanks is going to Mrs Hammond for being so dedicated by offering her expertise at a nominal fee to the children of Bethelsdorp Extension Cricket Club. May you remain part of this club through its whole existance.
This club belongs to the community and to no individual. Who ever contribute to the club do it so and support the community and its children. The club is open to join by any person who wants to particapate in the sport of cricket or to enhance the sporting demand of the community. |
 President's Vote of Thanks: Alot of people must be thanked apart from Mrs Hammond so let me start by doing that. Let me start with my fiance Ms Borcherds for granting me of her time to spent with the boys. This is alot of sacrifice for her. At least she allowed my son to enjoy and attend games with me that were played over weekends. |
